Sydney Spartans hosted our Last Man Standing – 30-minute session last week, with 19 pullers stepping up to take on the challenge. The atmosphere was electric, the intensity was relentless, and the speed was blistering. We had a strong mix of competitors from A grade through to D grade, across multiple weight classes, all giving it a crack. In the end, it came down to stamina and power. Josh Barker dominated with an impressive 70 pins, followed by Bowen Contardo on 40. Massive effort from Josh, who not only took out the top spot but was also crowned Last Man Standing, earning himself a Spartans shirt. Shout out to the team at AWE Armwrestling Entertainment for sharing the rules and creating such a great concept. The final score ended 5 wins each for the Spartans and @brothers_in_armss , but the night was never just about the scoreboard. It was about competition, camaraderie, and having a great time around the table. A huge thank you to @maateiwarangi_the_beast for bringing over a strong and talented group of armwrestlers from across the ditch. The matches were incredibly competitive and evenly contested. Special thanks to @sivart_og for his excellent refereeing @tom.demkowski for down-reffing. Thanks as well to everyone who attended and helped make the night such a memorable event. There were some fantastic victories from both clubs. One standout moment was @sean_soil impressive left-arm win over Adam Laura in the warm-up match between @canberra_armwrestling and the Sydney Spartans. The highlight of the night was @neti_lata from @savagehitterzclub defeating @ashleigh_hoeta on the right arm, followed by the main event, where Jack Lawrence did it for us older blokes, defeating @garrykoshnitsky in a great battle. A brilliant night of armwrestling and Trans-Tasman rivalry! Lots of love to all our AW family! ❤️❤️❤️
